Character of the Month: Merry and Pippin

Merry and Pippin are this month's characters for several reasons. For one, they're always playing with fireworks. The second reason is, I admire their friendship. Merry says about Pippin in the Lord of the Rings movies: "I used to get him into the worst sort of trouble, but I was always there to get him out of it." A good friend is someone who stands up for you, who helps and encourages you. Merry and Pippin are inseparable. They look out for each other. And sure, they add comic relief to the Lord of the Rings as well.
